Virginia Beach Hurricane Wall
The Virginia Beach Hurricane provides necessary protection to residents from hurricane threats.
Protection from hurricanes is a major concern of the residents of South Hampton Roads. Years of errosion and increasing hurricane strength and threats forced the City of Virginia Beach to act. Comprised of 80,000 yards of concrete, the Hurricane Wall protects the southern portion of the Virginia Beach Oceanfront with a strong and aestheticly pleasing facade. To enhance the look of the wall, stamps or molds were placed on the concrete surface to make the impression of sealife.
